Celebrate your Wedding Anniversary with these Inspired Gift Ideas
It might interest you to know that prior to 1937 there were only eight anniversaries that were acknowledged with an associated wedding gift to mark the milestones in a couple’s marriage. The eight celebrated anniversaries were the 1st, 5th, 10th, 15th, 20th, 25th, 50th, and 75th anniversary.
The American National Retail Jeweler Association (ANRJA) presented a more extensive list in 1937, which associated a material item for each anniversary year up to the 20th, and then each fifth year after that up to the 75th, with the exception of the 65th anniversary year. As time passed, these items have evolved as the traditional anniversary gift to mark the celebrated occasion.
